To avoid having to sew too many long seams I started to sew first blocks of two, then of four, then of eight pieces, etc. I had to make good use of pins to make these seams match. It required lots of attention and patience.

Um zu viele lange Nähte zu verhindern, habe ich erst Blöcke aus zwei, dann vier, dann acht Teilen genäht. Die Stecknadeln waren eine grosse Hilfe, um die Nähte an den Ecken gut aufeinandertreffen zu lassen. Man braucht aber viel Geduld und muss schon sehr exakt und langsam arbeiten.

Per evitare di dover cucire troppe cuciture lunghe ho incominciato a unire i blocchi creando prima blocchi a due, poi a quattro, poi a otto pezzi etc.  L'uso degli spilli mi ha aiutato a fare di modo che le cuciture si baciano al punto giusto. Comunque ci vuole un sacco di attenzione e pazienza.
