Trip around the World Quilt // 3

I've started to think about block layouts and to understand what overall look I want to achieve. I need to pay attention where I put the dark and the light squares within a single block. I'm totally enjoying sewing these little squares but I can see that there will be a lot of decision taking along the way. That's good food for my brain.

Trip around the World Quilt

I have started a new project. It will be another long term english paper piecing work that I can do by hand whenever I feel like. A companion for in between times. I'm planning to use my scraps from previous projects and use the "trip around the world pattern". At least this is my current intention. But I'll be sewing squares for a while and who knows what I'll do in the end with them.

Here I'm just playing around with some potential block layouts.
