Basel lights

Some mornings really make it hard not to stop during running and take pictures. The sunrise with its colors and lights are a feast for my eyes.

As here on the last day of January:

Or here on February 2nd where not only the sunrise but also the moon played a nice role:

And on the evening of the same day the moon kept shining strong and made me stop again:

Qara // 3

I'm committed to this kind of arrangement. I love that the geese fly in all directions and yet there is some order in all the movement.

I have skipped squaring up the blocks and just started to put the top together filling the blanks with white fabric. So far so good.

Enjoy some pictures from a recent sunrise over the Rhine here in Basel, Switzerland.

Christmas Tree Quilt // 5

Oh! I'm getting very excited about this area.

And here two images of beautiful Basel taken during one of my early morning runs of last week.

Dublin // 3 and last

We couldn't miss a visit to Trinity College to see the Book of Kells (no pictures allowed) and the impressive old library.

Nor could we skip a visit to Guinness Storehouse where the history of this delicious beer is celebrated in a bombastic way and at times we felt like being in a sanctuary.

And so we thought that after this almost religious experience it was time for a real house of worship.
Which brought us to the magnificent St Patrick's Cathedral.

Thank you Dublin for a lot of diverse experiences!
