Sewed rug - Genähter Teppich - Tappeto cucito

Recycled sheets. Cut into stripes, folded, pressed, pressed, pressed. Sewed together with zigzag stitch.
Reziklierte Laken. In Streifen geschnitten, gefaltet, gebügelt, gebügelt, gebügelt. Mit Zigzag-Stich zusammen genäht.
Lenzuoli usati. Tagliati in strisce, piegati, stirati, stirati, stirati. Cuciti insieme con punto zig zag.

Picture taken in Sonora Desert, Arizona. Saguaros take about 80 years to develop side arms. This one is just about there. Their life span is up to 150 years. What stories would they tell us if they could?

books - Bücher - libri

Since I was a teenager (tempi passati) books have played an important role in my life. Long before I was able to travel on my own, books and the stories they tell have opened up the world to me and my imagination. They also keep taking me to places no physical travel can take me. No day goes by without reading at least a few pages. That's why, for now, I chose this template for this blog. It reminded me of the library in my house:

I live in Switzerland, a country with four national languages depending on which area you live in. I live in the German speaking part of Switzerland. The first language in my life was Italian. This may end up being a multi-lingual blog. We'll see. Wir werden sehen. Vedremo.
