Northwest USA Trip - Eclipse day // 4

The day of the total solar eclipse (August 21st) we went back to the Mt. Bachelor area. We left very early to make sure we wouldn't end up in a traffic jam. All went well and we got there just at sunrise.
My camera equipment is not such as to be able to take pictures of partial or total eclipses, although I'm very happy about the one picture further down. Instead, with the change in light, I got some nice shots of the scenery.

Total eclipse! That black dot in the sun is actually the moon. The bright ring the corona! The picture doesn't do the real view justice but I still love it a lot!
