Steps III // 4

The fact that I have abandoned my sewing machine for the last two months doesn't mean that I haven't been thinking about quilting. I think it hasn't past a day where I have not thought about how to proceed with Steps III. It was quick clear to me that I wanted to cut it up and rearrange. At the same time I was quite afraid to cut it to pieces without having a clear plan to follow. This is when it came to my mind that I could print out a picture and use copies to play around and see where I could go with it.

Dass ich meine Nähmaschine die letzten zwei Monate vernachlässigt habe heisst nicht, dass ich nicht übers Quilten nachgedacht habe. Es ist kaum ein Tag vergangen, an welchem ich mich nicht gefragt habe, wie ich mit Steps III verfahren soll. Rasch ist mir klar geworden, dass ich das Top zerschneiden und eine neue Komposition finden wollte. Aber einfach so drauf los in ein fertiges Top zu schneiden habe ich mich nicht getraut. Schliesslich habe ich mir als Entscheidungshilfe ein Foto ausgedruckt, mit dessen Kopien ich nun herauszufinden suche, wie es weiter gehen könnte.

Il fatto che nei ultimi due mesi ho trascurato la mia macchina da cucire non vuol dire che non ho pensato al quilting. Infatti non è quasi passato un giorno dove non mi sono chiesta come procedere con Steps III. Presto ero certa che volevo tagliare e ricomporre il top, però non mi sentivo di attaccarlo con le forbici senza avere un piano chiaro. Così mi è venuto in mente di fare delle fotocopie di una foto con le quali spero di trovare una buona strada.
