Wool blanket - Wolldecke - Coperta di lana // 9

Since I don't like sewing together knitted pieces I thought I would just crochet them. I also want to add the warm red to the cold red for more interest. But my first attempts are not working.  I just joined together the two pieces with single crochet stitch.

Ich habe mir gedacht, da ich nicht gerne Gestricktes zusammen nähe, würde ich die Teile zusammen häkeln. Zudem will ich das warme Rot ergänzen. Meine ersten Versuche sind allerdings gescheitert. Ich habe die zwei einzelnen Teile einfach direkt zusammen gehäkelt.

Visto che non mi piace cucire insieme pezzi lavorati a maglia ho pensato di unirli usando l'uncinetto. Così avrei anche potuto aggiungere un altro colore rosso. Per ora il mio tentativo non funziona.

It started off nicely but soon ended up curling.

Es hat gut angefangen aber bald haben sich Wellen eingestellt.

E incominciato bene ma dopo un pò il tutto ha incominciato a ondulare.

Plus on the back you see nothing at all. But I want the warm red to show on both sides.

Zudem sieht man auf der Rückseite gar nichts. Ich will aber, dass das warme Rot auf beiden Seiten zu sehen ist.

Poi sul retro non si vedeva niente mentre io voglio che il caldo rosso si veda dai due lati.

So I undid it all and started with single crochet the individual pieces first before joining them with another row of crochet.

Ich habe alles wieder aufgemacht und begonnen, die beiden Teile zuerst einzeln zu umhäkeln, um sie in einer zweiten Reihe zu verbinden.

Quindi ho disfatto il tutto e ricominciato con un nuovo tentativo.

It soon started to curl again. I thought maybe it flattens out again when joint to the other piece. So I kept going for a while.

Bald hat es wieder angefangen, sich zu wellen. Vielleicht würde sich das Problem beim zusammen häkeln lösen? So habe ich noch etwas weiter gemacht.

Di nuovo il pezzo ha incominciato ad arricciarsi. Ho pensato che forse una volta uniti il tutto si sarebbe di nuovo lisciato, quindi ho continuato per un pò.

By the way. This kind of edge finishing would work nicely for a scarf. Don't you think?

A proposito: Questo modo di procedere mi sembra una bella rifinitura per una sciarpa. Cosa ne pensate?
