Making good progress on this quilt too. This is such an enjoyable work. I'm leaving the centers empty for now and I'm not sure yet how I'm going to fill them. Will think about it later.

Making good progress with this secret sewing for a birthday present. Just a few additional sneak peeks for you.

I did mention that he likes red, didn't I?

I started a new quilt for a birthday present and therefore I can't show too much of the progress. But since the recipient got to choose his favorite colors and gave his ok to the selected fabrics it is fine to show this much. He wants red as the predominant and yellow as the secondary color. The final result is still going to be a surprise I hope.

It will be another disappearing nine patch. But I'm going to try a few new things in terms of size of the patches and layout.

On another note: Spotted this fellow during one of my recent morning runs.

I know how I want it to look now and I am totally enjoying the process. There will be lots of pictures along the way I'm afraid. And the way will be long. Very long.

I've started to think about block layouts and to understand what overall look I want to achieve. I need to pay attention where I put the dark and the light squares within a single block. I'm totally enjoying sewing these little squares but I can see that there will be a lot of decision taking along the way. That's good food for my brain.
