Silk Road finished! I worked on this quilt for a little more than a month and I never finished a quilt this fast. I think I made good use of my silk scraps and I like how the narrow quilting lines add structure to this fine quilt. The lines are oriented vertically over two thirds of the surface and horizontally over one third. You should be able to see it better in the picture of the neutral back. I chose a thin cotton batting for this quilt resulting in a lightweight summer breeze snuggle up quilt.
Seidenstrasse ist fertig! Etwas mehr als einen Monat habe ich für diesen Quilt gebraucht und so rasch bin ich noch nie fertig geworden. Ich bin sehr zufrieden, wie meine Seidenstöffchen geendet sind. Und die schmalen Quiltlinien (zwei Drittel vertikal, ein Drittel horizontal ausgerichtet) geben diesem feinen Quilt eine schöne Struktur. Das dünne Volumenvlies aus Baumwolle macht diesen Quilt ganz leicht und ideal, um sich bei einer Sommerbrise darin einzukuscheln.
Via della seta é finito in poco più di un mese! Sono contenta di come ho usato lei mie stoffine di seta. La trapunta di linee dritte strette dà a questo quilt una bella struttura. Due terzi delle linee le ho orientate in modo verticale, il resto in modo orizzontale. Questo piccolo quilt é leggero e fino e dunque ideale per raggomitolarsi dentro in una fresca sera d'estate.
