Défis textiles I // 1

While I'm working on finishing Steps I - III I'm also doing other exciting things.
For the first time I'm participating in a series of three textile challenges organized and moderated by Maryline from Mary & Patch! She has a group that meets once a month in person to show and tell what they did with their challenges. Because of the distance me and two other ladies are participating through mail but I'm already excited that I'll be able to join the group in person for the December meeting.
So I received my parcel some two weeks ago with the material for the first challenge. The rules for this one only stated the required measurements (min 30x30 cm, max 80x80 cm) and the need to use at least part of the received material while for the rest I was completely free to create whatever I liked. I have already finished and submitted pictures of my work but waited with blogging until the group had its meeting and first sight of what others did.
Today I'll show you what I got as starting material and what I did. In next posts I'll share my thoughts and steps along the progress.

Oggi vi mostro cosa ho ricevuto e cosa ho fatto.

This is what I got (and what took me totally by surprise and left me clueless at first):
