Scraps and maybe a new quilt?

While I'm working on T3 I've also continued hand piecing blocks with scraps. Meanwhile I have quite a reasonable number and I've started to think of how to design a quilt top with them.

I've been thinking of combining these blocks with some black and white fabric. Yesterday I went to IKEA for another reason and came across this light cotton fabric. I could not resist.

I have an idea. I think I might give it a try.

  1. These are such cute improv pieced pieces and it will be great to give them the space to breathe with the monochrome background! Love it so far and perfect for those smaller scraps! Thanks for linking up to #scraptastictueday

  2. Delightful, analogous blocks, Pasqualina. And what interesting Ikea fabric - the pattern looks like mesh from a gardening box. Love how you're cutting it up. I look forward to seeing this progress. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Love the improv blocks... how big are they? Linda

    1. Thanks Linda. They are of different sizes between 4 and 7 inches on the sides.

  4. This is something like what I'm doing in blue with a touch of browns. I think I like your colors much more...guess I'll have to begin another quilt! That Ikea fabric will really allow them to stand out and give the eye a rest, so you've made a great choice!

    1. Thank you Mary. I looked at your WIP and I like your blue/brown blocks! The open face blocks are a great idea and add interest. Keep going!
